ADEN, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has tied the resumption of funding for the Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions to their leadership’s acceptance of the executive agenda and compliance with issued orders.
According to media sources, a Saudi official in Aden informed STC commanders that provisions, salaries, and financial allowances are now strictly contingent upon field commitment. This follows a previous decision to suspend all financial allocations to the southern factions due to their growing refusal to participate in military clashes with Sanaa forces.
Saudi Arabia is currently attempting to push these factions toward the fighting fronts, particularly in Dhalea province, amid Saudi concerns over anticipated escalations under the STC’s broader campaign to expel Saudi forces from the southern and eastern regions of the country.
