Gaza casualty toll rises to 247,885 total victims since start of Israeli genocide war

GAZA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip reported on Wednesday that the total number of casualties from the ongoing Israeli genocide war has risen to 247,885, including 73,438 deaths and 174,447 injured since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report tracking casualties from Israeli aggressive actions across the Gaza Strip, the ministry stated that local hospitals received 7 martyrs and 10 injured individuals over the past 24 hours.

The ministry further detailed that casualties recorded since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 total 1,303 martyrs and 4,336 injured, alongside 814 bodies recovered from affected areas.

“A number of victims remain trapped under rubble and along roadways, as ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach them at this time,” the health ministry added in its official statement.
