Kites cause panic among occupation forces, prompt Netanyahu’s government to conduct urgent assessment
OCCUPIED QUDS, Aug. 23 (YPA) – Hebrew media reported on Sunday evening that Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz held a high-level meeting with senior military and security officials to address the launching of kites and incendiary devices from the Gaza Strip.
According to Israeli media reports, Netanyahu and Katz conducted an operational assessment with military commanders regarding the kite launches. Netanyahu warned that “Israel” would intensify targeted actions against those deemed responsible if Hamas does not halt the launches, adding that forces would move to evacuate areas in Gaza from which kites and balloons originate.
The Israeli daily “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that Defense Minister Katz instructed military forces to take immediate and decisive action against launches directed toward Gaza border communities, emphasizing that any such launch would be treated as a full act of war.
The development comes amid widespread coverage of the severe humanitarian and military conditions in the Gaza Strip, where ongoing operations involve airstrikes, armed drones, and heavy artillery.
