Iran: “Our pilots are detained in Qatar with severe injuries”

TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (YPA) – The Head of the Missing in Action (MIA) Search Committee of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Bagherzadeh, has called for the deployment of an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) air ambulance to Qatar to repatriate Iranian pilots as soon as possible.

According to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Bagherzadeh welcomed the Qatari government’s initiative to host a team of Iranian experts.

The Iranian official emphasized that the detention conditions of the “captives” at sea are inadequate, urging Qatari authorities to immediately transfer them to onshore facilities and equipped hospitals to ensure they receive necessary medical care and to safeguard their well-being.
