Increasing of IOM support to Yemen discussed

SANAA, Aug. 9 (YPA) – Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil discussed with the Director of Operations and Emergency at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at the organization headquarters the cooperation between the Ministry and the Organization and means of enhancing and developing them.

The meeting touched on the possibility of increasing the support of the organization to the Ministry of Health, especially in view of the humanitarian and health situation facing the country due to the continued Saudi-led coalition force war in Yemen and theirs all-out siege imposed on the country.

The Minister of Health reviewed the difficulties faced by dialysis centers in a number of provinces, especially in Mahweet, where ten dialysis machines stopped.
He called for transferring the suffering of the Yemeni people and this catastrophic situation is going through to the world.

In return, the organization’s official affirmed the readiness of the organization to provide assistance to the Yemeni people in the field of health, including the provision of ten ambulances, three of which contain intensive care.
