Cairo prepares to host four-party meeting on mechanisms for implementing Gaza agreement

CAIRO, Aug. 02 (YPA) –  Intensive preparations are underway for a four-party meeting in Cairo this week, with the participation of the mediating countries: Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey.

According to a report by Asharq Al-Awsat, the meeting aims to ensure the implementation of the terms of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

An informed Egyptian source told the newspaper that U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to arrive in the region soon.

According to the same source, Egypt is counting on direct intervention and increased pressure from US President Donald Trump on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ensure the completion of the agreement’s key steps.
