Gaza death toll climbs to 73,349 in ongoing Israeli aggression

GAZA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – Palestine’s Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that the death toll from Israel aggression has risen to 73,349, with 174,162 people injured, since October 7, 2023.

In its latest daily update, the ministry said hospitals across Gaza received eight fatalities—including seven newly killed and one person who later died from previous injuries—along with 76 wounded over the past 48 hours.

The ministry added that since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 last year, 1,222 people have been killed, 4,053 injured, and 804 bodies recovered.

It also noted that a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or lying in inaccessible areas, with ambulance and civil defense crews still unable to reach them.
