Palestinian citizen wounded by Zionist enemy fire in Beita, occupation forces erected checkpoint at entrance to Atara

NABLUS, RAMALLAH, July 31 (YPA) – A Palestinian citizen was injured, on Thursday, by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beita, south of Nablus. Meanwhile, occupation forces erected a military checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Atara, north of Ramallah, and stormed the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of the governorate.

The director of the Red Crescent’s ambulance and emergency center in Nablus, Amjad Ahmad, told WAFA that ambulance crews treated a 59-year-old citizen who was shot in the neck with live ammunition after occupation soldiers opened fire on his vehicle in Beita and he was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

In Ramallah, security sources reported that occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Atara and searched vehicles, causing a traffic jam.

They also stormed the town of Turmus Ayya and fired stun grenades and tear gas at residents, and raided the home of citizen Osama Sami al-Hazma, without any reports of further arrests or injuries.
