Islamic resistance in Iraq vows retaliation following US-Saudi attacks
BAGHDAD, July 29 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has pledged to retaliate against recent US strikes, stating that a response to the targeting of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) personnel and a procession serving Arbaeen pilgrims in Karbala is “inevitable.”
The resistance added that its response could also extend to Saudi assets “should circumstances require.”
In its statement, the resistance firmly denied any involvement in recent attacks on Saudi facilities, maintaining that Riyadh’s allegations against Iraqi factions do not justify targeting civilians. According to the statement, the latest US aggression resulted in dozens of casualties, including both killed and wounded.
Furthermore, the Islamic Resistance issued a deadline until the 23rd of Safar for government entities that have called for its disarmament, emphasizing that it will closely monitor the Iraqi government’s actions and measures to address the attacks and uphold national sovereignty.
