Al-Mashat: Blockade imposed on Riyadh followed exhaustion of all peace efforts

SANAA, July 20 (YPA) – Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, confirmed that the Saudi regime’s continued blockade on the Yemeni people demonstrates a lack of genuine intent to achieve peace.

In a statement released on Monday, Al-Mashat stated that Yemen retains the full right to take whatever measures it deems necessary to end the blockade, following the exhaustion of all peace initiatives over recent years.

He stressed that no party has the right to legitimize the blockade imposed on the Yemeni people, noting that statements condemning Yemen’s stance and justifying the blockade originate from a single source and are issued for a price.

Al-Mashat called on the entities endorsing such condemnations to demand that the Saudi regime bear the consequences of the measures imposed on Yemen.
