Iranian air defenses down hostile cruise missile

TEHRAN, July 20 (YPA) – Iran’s army announced on Sunday that its air defense units intercepted and shot down a hostile cruise missile over western Iran.

According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, the army’s public relations office confirmed that the missile was successfully intercepted and destroyed by the country’s air defense systems.

Earlier on Sunday, the outskirts of the southern Iranian city of Abadan were reportedly targeted in a U.S. missile strike.
