SANAA, July 20 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Foreign Ministry said on Sunday the humanitarian suffering endured by the Yemeni people under the Saudi-led blockade is unmatched in the modern era except for the situation in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the ministry said it had spent the past 12 years seeking to draw international attention to Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, but accused Saudi influence and U.S. and Israeli pressure of undermining efforts to end the conflict and alleviate civilian suffering.
The ministry also accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty, asserting that the Yemeni people’s rights would be secured rather than requested.
It urged regional countries to assess developments independently, warning against aligning with external agendas.
