Gaza Health Ministry: Death toll rises to 73,269 casualties since October 2023

GAZA, July 18 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the total number of casualties from the ongoing Israeli genocide war has risen to 73,269 deaths and 173,811 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on casualties, the ministry stated that hospitals across the strip received 19 deaths and 60 injured over the past 24 hours. The ministry specified that these figures include 16 newly reported deaths, one individual who succumbed to previous wounds, and the recovery of two bodies.

Furthermore, the health ministry disclosed that since the implementation of the ceasefire on October 11, the toll has reached 1,144 deaths and 3,703 injured, alongside 802 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble. The ministry emphasized that numerous victims remain trapped under debris and on roadways, as ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face severe difficulties reaching them.
