Sanaa government declares full resumption of operations at Sanaa airport

SANAA, July 15 (YPA) – Minister of Transport and Public Works in the Sanaa government, Mohammed Quhim, announced on Wednesday that Sanaa International Airport has fully resumed air navigation operations at full efficiency after engineering teams repaired damage caused by recent Saudi airstrikes.

In a statement, Quhim said the airport’s runways had been rehabilitated in accordance with approved technical standards by a specialized engineering and technical team from the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, with the participation of Yemeni experts from the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Sanaa.

The minister praised the exceptional efforts of the national engineering and technical teams, which began repair work immediately after the strikes and completed it in record time to avoid disrupting air traffic.

Sanaa airport was struck by Saudi airstrikes two days ago, damaging its runways in a clear violation of international laws and conventions protecting civilian infrastructure.
