Islamic Resistance in Iraq rejects government delegation’s Washington visit, demands end to US presence
BAGHDAD, July 13 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has announced its fundamental rejection of an upcoming visit by an Iraqi government delegation to Washington, D.C.
The resistance linked its opposition to the ongoing actions of the US-Israeli military apparatus and bloodshed in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Palestine.
In a statement, the resistance clarified that its support for the government’s anti-corruption efforts does not constitute an open mandate for its broader policies. The statement underscored the resistance’s rejection of projects that link the future of generations to companies tied to occupation interests or holding partnerships with “the Zionist entity.”
Furthermore, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq reiterated its stance that the presence of US forces in the country constitutes an occupation, calling on the Iraqi government to utilize all available means to terminate this presence in accordance with the previously announced timeline.
