GAZA, July 11 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces stepped up their violations of the Gaza ceasefire on Saturday, demolishing homes, shelling eastern areas of Khan Younis and Gaza City, and opening heavy fire as drones flew intensively over the enclave.
Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces demolished four Palestinian homes in eastern Khan Younis in a series of blasts that shook the area. Israeli tanks positioned near the border also fired heavily on the city’s eastern areas.
The sources added that an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped explosives north of the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis. Low-flying drones remained active over the area, causing fear and tension among residents.
In Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles positioned east of the city fired heavily near Al-Hashimiya School and Al-Mahatta Park in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Israeli quadcopter drones also fired at residential homes near Salah al-Din Street in the Shujaiya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods, forcing residents to stay inside their homes for fear of being targeted.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued sporadic gunfire in the eastern areas of Khan Younis and Gaza City, while drones remained overhead conducting surveillance and carrying out attacks in several parts of the enclave.
The Gaza ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, following two years of Israeli military operations in the Strip. However, Israeli occupation forces have continued to commit daily violations of the agreement.
