Araqchi: US officials’ statements confirm Washington’s disavowal of its commitments

TEHRAN, July 09 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation on Thursday with Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, during which they discussed the latest regional developments.

Araqchi condemned the attacks launched by the US military on various areas in Iran, considering them a blatant violation of the UN Charter and a clear breach of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding on the cessation of hostilities.

He emphasized that the statements and admissions by US officials of non-compliance with the memorandum constitute evidence of Washington’s reneging on its commitments and its continuation of the aggressive approach and military escalation.

The Iranian Foreign Minister warned against any new US military action, stressing that the Iranian people and armed forces are determined to defend the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security with full force.
