Iran, Qatar FM discuss regional developments, recent events in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, July 09 (YPA) – Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone call on Wednesday to discuss regional developments, particularly the recent events in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a post published on Araghchi’s Telegram channel, the two ministers exchanged views on regional developments, with a focus on the latest events in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.

Both sides stressed the importance of employing diplomatic efforts to address regional issues and agreed to maintain communication and coordination to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
