WASHINGTON, July 08 (YPA) – US Defense Secretary Pete Higseth canceled his planned visit to Tel Aviv on Wednesday due to security developments in the region and following the overnight US strikes against Iran.
Higseth was scheduled to make a brief visit to the occupied territories while in Ankara with President Donald Trump for the NATO summit.
Sources stated that the visit was intended to address Israeli concerns about the potential sale of F-35 fighter jets by Washington to Turkey, in addition to discussing regional security developments.
