OCCUPIED QUDS, July 05 (YPA) – Israeli occupation’s Transportation Minister Miri Regev revealed, in the first official confirmation from an Israeli official, the existence of security cooperation between “Israel” and the UAE in confronting Iranian attacks.
This comes months after media reports spoke of military and intelligence coordination between the two sides.
In an interview with the Israeli occupation’s army radio, Regev stated that the UAE understands the magnitude of the threat posed by Iranian ballistic missiles, adding that “Israel” is providing assistance to Abu Dhabi in this area. Regev’s statement comes after a series of media reports indicating increased security cooperation between the two sides during the recent confrontation with Iran, without this information receiving official confirmation from the Israeli government.
Axios quoted Israeli and American officials as saying that “Israel” had sent the Iron Dome system to the UAE, along with a team of soldiers to operate it during the initial stages of the military escalation, in a move reflecting an unprecedented level of security and intelligence cooperation between the two sides.
According to the report, the UAE was subjected to what were described as intense attacks by Tehran during that period.
