Al-Mansoura Corniche in Aden totally blocked in protest against abduction of activist “Al-Saadi”
ADEN, July 01 (YPA) – Angry protests renewed for the second consecutive day in the Al-Mansoura district of Aden, denouncing the abduction of activist “Raafat Al-Saadi” by Saudi-backed forces on Monday evening from Al-Qasr Street.
Protesters announced the total closure of the Al-Mansoura Corniche as the first phase of an open-ended escalation.
This followed the blocking of streets and roads leading to the Caltex roundabout using stones and burning tires, demanding the unconditional release of “Al-Saadi” from the prisons of the “Security Belt”—renamed “National Security” by Saudi Arabia—under the command of “Jalal Al-Rubaie.”
The protesters emphasized the continuation of their movement and their intention to close all main streets and vital areas to induce a total paralysis within the coming hours until Al-Saadi’s fate is revealed. They described the abduction methods used by the Saudi-aligned factions as resembling those of “mafia and gangs.”
