DAMASCUS, June 26 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man in southern Syria’s Quneitra countryside on Friday during a cross-border military incursion, in the latest in a series of repeated operations in the area.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a unit of four Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Ain Ziwan, carried out a raid, and detained a local resident before withdrawing to an undisclosed location.
No details were provided regarding the reasons for the arrest or the detainee’s whereabouts.
The report noted that the incursion heightened tension and concern among residents, who have faced frequent the occupation’s raids and arrests in border villages in southwestern Syria.
It added that the continued pattern of such operations is fueling fears of further escalation and expanded Israeli activity in the border region.
