Figures loyal to Riyadh, Abu Dhabi implicated in moral scandals that shock Aden

ADEN, June 25 (YPA) – Leaked audio recordings and documented testimonies have revealed the involvement of security leaders loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the city of Aden in moral scandals and large-scale sexual and financial blackmail networks targeting girls and women in the city.

Political activist, Adel al-Hasani, continues to expose systemic violations perpetrated by security leaders loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in Aden. The recordings published by al-Hasani showed that the commander of the so-called “Security Belt” in al-Mansoura, Mazen Hazeb al-Yafie, has exploited his influence to abduct male relatives of girls—including fathers, brothers, and husbands—and fabricate charges against them as a means of coercion to blackmail girls and women and subject them to forced relationships, among other abuses.

The audio recordings documented direct contacts between the leader, Hazeb, and a 17-year-old girl named Nisreen, whose family’s home was raided, followed by the abduction of her stepfather and the arrest of her fiancé on fabricated charges.

The documented recordings demonstrated Al-Yafiei’s attempts to blackmail and exploit girls and women, while some women’s private mobile phones remain in the possession of Hazeb al-Yafie, who continues to threaten them with publishing their private photos.

Extortion and Financial Abuses

The violations extended to include direct financial extortion of citizens through checkpoints belonging to the leader, Hazeb al-Yafie, in al-Mansoura. He has reportedly instructed his gunmen to fabricate problems with citizens and arrest them with the aim of unlawfully obtaining money under the guise of “Al-Sarfa” (daily allowances). These practices have spanned nearly 10 years, during which Aden has been managed in this crude manner.

These incidents have sparked a wave of public and human rights outrage. Activist al-Hasani issued an urgent appeal to the honorable people of Yafe’a and the relevant Saudi-backed authorities in Aden, including members of the “Leadership Council,” to halt these crimes that violate the honor and dignity of citizens.

Direct Accusations and Demands for Protection

Al-Hasani directly accused the commander of the so-called “National Security” according to the new Saudi nomenclature—the “Security Belt”—the individual known as Jalal al-Rubaie, of holding direct responsibility for these practices by providing protection to his subordinate leaders, who have turned the lives of citizens in Aden into hell. He demanded that protection be provided to the victims and that justice be served against the oppression and tyranny they have faced.

Furthermore, al-Hasani indicated that he had secured the departure of “the girl and her mother” after they were threatened by Mazen Hazeb al-Yafie.

This comes after activist al-Hasani previously exposed a moral scandal in Aden last September, where the victim was a 22-year-old orphaned young woman who was raped by 13 suspects, including the leader Mazen Hazeb al-Yafie and a number of his relatives and gunmen.

This follows the prior exposure of a child rape incident documented in audio and video, perpetrated by military leaders loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the city.
