Detained Palestinian journalist sees his face for first time in Negev prison, after 2 years of deprivation

OCCUPIED QUDS, June 24 (YPA) – Lawyer Khaled Mahajneh revealed that the Israeli occupation prison service was forced, following a petition filed to the court, to provide detained Palestinian journalist Mohamed Arab with clothes and allow him to see his face, after two full years of being deprived of seeing his own features.

Mahajneh stated that what the detained journalist was subjected to reflects a harsh level of deprivation inside Israeli occupation prisons, adding “There is a level of deprivation where a prisoner longs for his features, and to feel that he is still himself.”

This incident highlights the difficult humanitarian conditions experienced by Palestinian prisoners inside Negev Prison, amid ongoing accusations against the Israeli prison administration of committing systematic violations against detainees.
