Eye of Humanity Center releases statistics of 4,100 days of war on Yemen

SANAA, June 19 (YPA) – A Human rights center in Sanaa has released shocking statistics on the crimes of the Saudi-led coalition against civilians in Yemen over 4,100 days of war and blockade.

.The Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development said in a recent report that the total number of civilian casualties resulting from direct bombardment during this period stands at 60,891 civilians, comprising 24,708 martyrs and 36,183 wounded individuals.

The report highlighted the tragic toll on vulnerable demographics, with 4,362 child fatalities and 5,571 injuries, along with 2,651 women killed and 3,348 wounded. Additionally, 17,695 men lost their lives, with 27, 264 sustaining injuries.

The report added that during the same period, the coalition targeted 16 airports, 17 ports, 491 electricity stations and generators, 718 telecommunications networks and stations, 3,608 water reservoirs and networks, 2,544 government facilities, and 9,017 roads and bridges.

It further said 470 factories were destroyed, along with 644 fuel tankers, 16,798 commercial facilities, 506 poultry and livestock farms, 12,554 transportation vehicles, 586 fishing boats, 1,178 food warehouses, 568 fuel stations, 739 markets, and 1,533 food trucks.

According to the center, the attacks also destroyed 623,599 homes, 204 university facilities, 2,031 mosques, 435 tourism facilities, 476 hospitals and medical centers, 1,510 schools and educational facilities, 14,538 agricultural fields, 158 sports facilities, 304 archaeological sites, and 75 media institutions.

The report said the figures reflect the scale of what it described as a humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Saudi-led, US-backed coalition war and blockade on Yemen over the past eleven years.
