Al-Wahbi commander pledges readiness for battle, backs Sayyed Al-Houthi’s strategy

SANAA, June 17 (YPA) – Maj. Gen. Bakil Saleh Al-Wahbi, commander of the Al-Wahbi Brigades affiliated with the Sanaa-based armed forces, reaffirmed support for the strategic directives of Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, particularly his calls to confront the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict and blockade and to work toward ending foreign military presence in Yemen.

Al-Wahbi said the brigades maintain a high level of combat readiness and are prepared to act in accordance with leadership directives, describing their mission as part of a broader effort aimed at the liberation of Yemeni territory and the recovery of national resources.

He also criticized the continued blockade and economic measures imposed on Yemen, accusing the Saudi-led coalition and its international backers of sustaining economic pressure on the country.

Al-Wahbi warned that such policies would be met with a firm response, while stressing the commitment of Sanaa-aligned forces to defending Yemen’s sovereignty and independence.
