SANAA, June 17 (YPA) – The Acting Prime Minister of the Sanaa government, Mohamed Miftah, inaugurated on Wednesday in Sanaa the Permanent National Exhibition for Locally Manufactured Fertilizers and Pesticides made from safe organic components.

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, represented by the General Corporation for Agricultural Services, the exhibition aims to support local production and localize sustainable agricultural industries.

Miftah toured the exhibition pavilions, which feature a variety of organic fertilizers and pesticides alongside local innovations and technologies. He emphasized the event’s importance within the government’s directives to advance the agricultural sector and enhance self-reliance, noting that self-sufficiency has been achieved in several products, surplus fruits and vegetables are now being exported, and the cultivation of new crops like kiwi and avocado is expanding.

For his part, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Ammar Al-Karim, explained that the exhibition serves as a platform to introduce local organic products and encourage investors and farmers to utilize import alternatives, thereby boosting the national economy and creating job opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Fertilizers and Pesticides Unit, Mohamed Al-Qudaimi, reviewed the corporation’s efforts in organizing the exhibition and highlighting successful national innovations and practices in this field.
