Saudi Arabia shuts down STC headquarters in Aden

ADEN, June 15 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has ordered the closure of offices linked to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the Yemeni city of Aden and imposed a ban on its activities, media reports on Monday said.

Saudi political commentator Ali Al-Arishi wrote on “X” that Saudi-backed security forces had shut down the headquarters of the “dissolved STC” and the office of its leader, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, in Aden, calling the move an important step toward restoring security and stability.

He added that the decision aims to create an environment conducive to improving public services for residents in the city.
