Saudi drones hover over “dissolved” STC camp in Lahj

LAHJ, June 12 (YPA) – Saudi forces’ drones have intensified their flights over the “5th Brigade” camp—aligned with the “dissolved” Southern Transitional Council (STC)—in the Radfan district of Lahj governorate, amid escalating field tensions.

Local activists documented video footage of the drones hovering over the camp, which was previously commanded by “Mukhtar al-Nubi,” who has been out of sight since Riyadh’s decision to dissolve the UAE-backed STC last January.

This aerial reconnaissance follows a Saudi drone strike targeting weapon depots of the “1st Al-Amaliqa Brigade” at the Al-Solban camp in Aden. According to Emirati leaks, the attack left 11 personnel dead and others wounded.

Reports attribute the Al-Solban bombing to the brigade leadership’s refusal—under Abu Dhabi-based “Raid al-Habahi”—to hand over weapon stockpiles to Riyadh-aligned military commands as part of the so-called “restructuring” plan.

Information indicates that STC-aligned leaders had previously transferred massive quantities of weapons and ammunition from Aden to secret depots in (Dhalea, Lahj, and Yafea), following Saudi airstrikes on STC factions in Hadramout late last December.
