Iran reveals first use of new weapon in attacks on US bases

TEHRAN, June 10 (YPA) – Iran’s armed forces used a new-generation attack drone for the first time during recent strikes targeting U.S. military facilities in the region.

Iranian military sources told on Wednesday Fars News Agency, the operation included attacks on the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain and a strategic radar installation used by U.S. forces.

Earlier, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared that Iranian armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had launched the coordinated strikes against several U.S. military sites in response to recent American military actions against Iran.

The military source claimed that preliminary assessments based on satellite imagery and intelligence reports indicated that the operation achieved significant results, alleging that Iranian forces successfully penetrated U.S. defense systems and struck a large proportion of their intended targets.

The source further stated that long-range ballistic missiles and drones targeted facilities including the Azraq base in Jordan, Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the operation targeted 21 U.S.-linked sites across the region, describing it as an initial response to recent developments.

Iranian military officials also warned that any future U.S. military action against Iran would be met with a broader and stronger response.
