Pentagon raises alert level regarding Israeli espionage threats

WASHINGTON, June 06 (YPA) – American media reports revealed that the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) has raised the threat level related to Israeli espionage activities to the highest level.

This comes against the backdrop of allegations of escalating intelligence gathering efforts related to US military policies and plans.

According to NBC News, citing unnamed former high-ranking US officials, the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has issued a new assessment that raises the threat level attributed to “Israel” to a “critical” or “very serious” level.

The reports indicated that these concerns are based on information about attempts to obtain details regarding US military plans in the region, in addition to internal discussions related to ongoing conflicts and strategic decision-making mechanisms within US institutions.
