SANAA, June 03 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Foreign Ministry reaffirmed on Wednesday Yemen’s support for Iran and its armed forces’ response to U.S. aggression and the targeting of American military positions in the region.
In a statement, the ministry also expressed support for Iranian military operations against Israeli occupation following strikes that targeted Beirut, describing such actions as consistent with the concept of the “unity of fronts.”
The statement stressed Iran’s right to respond to any future attacks affecting its territory or national security and reiterated its opposition to the presence of U.S. military bases in some Gulf countries, arguing that they are used to serve American and Israeli strategic interests in the region.
It criticized regional governments that host such bases while portraying themselves as victims of regional tensions, claiming that these policies ultimately carry consequences for their countries and populations.
The statement further argued that reliance on military force has failed to achieve its objectives and emphasized the resilience of the “Axis of Resistance,” spanning Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen.
The ministry’s statement concluded by reaffirming its continued political support for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
