Hezbollah official clarifies party’s stance on “Dahiyeh vs. northern settlements” equation

LEBANON, June 02 (YPA) – Hezbollah official Mahmoud Qamati affirmed the party’s rejection of the “Dahiyeh vs. northern settlements” equation.

In a statement today, Tuesday, Qamati stressed that any targeting of the Dahiyeh (Southern Suburb) will be met with a response targeting areas deeper than the settlements of northern occupied Palestine.

“We agreed to a genuine and comprehensive ceasefire, and we are committed to it if it is genuine and comprehensive,”
Qamati said.

He pointed out that Hezbollah does not recognize the yellow line and that “Lebanese land must be liberated,” noting that the Lebanese authority holds no cards of leverage over “Israel” and the United States.
