Civil Defense: Our operations are threatened with suspension due to lack of spare parts, firefighting equipment, fuel depletion

GAZA, May 31 (YPA) – The General Directorate of Civil Defense warned of an imminent halt to rescue and firefighting operations due to fuel depletion and the lack of spare parts and firefighting equipment.

It stated that three fire trucks and two ambulances were out of service, and fire incidents had increased due to Israeli targeting and negligence of safety procedures.

The directorate explained that interventions are now limited to very urgent cases only, with the escalation of aggression and the arrival of summer.

In addition, it called on international organizations to take urgent action to provide the fuel and equipment necessary for the continuation of Civil Defense operations in the Strip.
