Britain, Poland sign defense agreement to counter Russian threats

LONDON, May 30 (YPA) – United Kingdom and Poland have signed a new defense and security agreement aimed at deepening military and security cooperation between the two countries amid growing European concerns over Russia.

According to a statement issued by the British government, the agreement was signed in London by Keir Starmer and his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk.

The pact focuses on enhancing border security, combating organized crime, expanding defense cooperation with European partners, and strengthening efforts to counter cyber threats, hybrid attacks, and espionage activities.

The agreement is part of broader European efforts to reinforce security cooperation, following similar defense and security arrangements signed by the United Kingdom with France and Germany.
