HODEIDA, May 29 (YPA) – The stations of the Yemeni Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes recorded a light earthquake on Friday that struck the Zabid District, south of Hodeida Governorate, western Yemen.
According to a seismic bulletin issued by the center, the earthquake measured 2.4 on the Richter scale and occurred at 12:15 a.m., with its epicenter located northwest of the district.
The center described the tremor as a light earthquake, noting that it occurred at a shallow depth of around 5 kilometers below the earth’s surface.
