30-year-old man seriously injured after car plunges into Al-Saila canal in Sanaa

SANAA, May 29 (YPA) – A 30-year-old man seriously injured on Friday after his vehicle plunged into the 14 October Al-Saila canal in Al-Sabeen District, central Sanaa, according to a source in the Civil Defense Authority.

The source said rescue and ambulance teams were dispatched immediately after receiving reports of the accident, which occurred in front of the “Nujoum Al-Sham” restaurant, and immediately began rescue operations at the scene.

According to the source, the crash was caused by a loss of control due to excessive speed, causing a 2013 pickup vehicle driven by Ali Yahya Rashad Al-Issaoui to fall into the valley, where it was completely destroyed.

Civil defense teams managed to extricate the driver from the wreckage and transported him to a hospital in the capital, where he is receiving treatment.
