Israeli soldier commits suicide, overwhelmed by Trauma from war in Gaza

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, May 24 (YPA) – Hebrew media outlets reported on Sunday that an Israeli soldier committed suicide, after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, following his participation in the war against Gaza.

According to the reports, the soldier, identified as “Alex Miller”, had been suffering with PTSD linked to his participation in Gaza.

Data released by the Israeli army reportedly showed an unprecedented rise in soldier suicides during 2025, amid mounting psychological pressures associated with the ongoing war in Gaza and the intense conditions on the ground.

The incident comes amid what reports describe as a severe mental health crisis among Israeli soldiers, with media investigations and other documented accounts pointing to a troubling increase in suicide cases linked to the stress of combat and exposure to traumatic battlefield events.
