Lebanon death toll surpasses 3,000 amid ongoing aggressive strikes

BEIRUT, May 18 (YPA) – The cumulative death toll from the ongoing Israeli occupation’s strikes on Lebanon has risen to 3,020, with 9,273 people injured, since the aggression began on March 2, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The ministry, in its daily report published via the National News Agency, said that the past 24 hours alone saw 32 additional deaths and 63 injuries.

It added that since the Israeli aggression began, the occupation’s strikes have targeted towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in extensive casualties and the displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside official shelter centers.

The report also noted that despite a ceasefire taking effect in mid-April, violations have continued on a daily basis.
