Health Ministry: 2,951 Lebanese killed in fresh Israeli offensives

BEIRUT, May 15 (YPA) – About 2,951 people have been killed and 8,988 others injured as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2, according to a statement issued on Friday by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The ministry’s statement said that 55 people were killed and 164 others wounded over the past 48 hours as a result of continued Israeli occupation strikes.

Since early March, the Israeli aggression has intensified across Lebanese territory, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure.

Lebanese authorities said the aggression also has resulted in hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of approximately 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside official shelter registration systems.

Although a temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, Lebanese officials accuse the occupation forces of continuing to carry out daily violations through ongoing airstrikes.
