Sheikh Naim Qassem: “Resistance will not allow enemy to achieve its goals”

LEBANON, May 13 (YPA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed that the resistance and its people are “defiant against the occupation,” stressing that they “will not surrender and will not allow the enemy to achieve its goals,” despite the great sacrifices in the confrontation with the Israeli occupation.

In a message addressed on Wednesday to the Director of the Iranian Islamic Seminaries, His Eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Alireza Arafi, Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that the enemy will find nothing before it but “despair, the cessation of aggression, withdrawal, and the liberation of prisoners,” considering that the steadfastness of the Resistance and the people has thwarted the occupation’s bets on breaking the will to confront.

He further pointed to Iran’s support for the Resistance, stating it “has enabled Hezbollah to confront the repeated aggressions until today,” while expressing his gratitude to Tehran for “bearing great burdens as a result of this support.”

Regarding regional escalation, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah considered that “the US-Israeli aggression against Iran aims to strike the banner of liberation, independence, and the support of the oppressed, Palestine, and Al-Quds (Jerusalem),” affirming that “the courageous confrontation by the Iranian people, their armed forces, and their wise leadership will lead to a great victory and a new phase in the region and the world.”
