Hamas condemns continued targeting of police personnel in Gaza, citing attempts to sow chaos

GAZA, May 11 (YPA) – The Hamas movement condemned on Sunday the ongoing targeting of police personnel within the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation, asserting that this policy aims to spread chaos and undermine social stability.

In an official press statement, the movement described the assassination of the Director of Police Investigations in Khan Yunis as a “cowardly crime.” It emphasized that the occupation is deliberately and systematically targeting police agencies.

The movement added that these attacks are part of an effort to incite a state of security chaos and to thwart national endeavors aimed at restoring normalcy and providing essential services to citizens amidst the dire conditions currently facing the Strip.

In the same context, the movement noted that the death toll from Israeli attacks since the implementation of the recent ceasefire agreement has exceeded 850 martyrs since last October.
