OCCUPIED QUDS, May 10 (YPA) – The Ministerial Committee for Legislation in the Israeli Knesset is preparing to discuss a new bill seeking the total annulment of the “Oslo Accords” and its supplementary agreements, including the Hebron Protocol and the Wye River Memorandum.
The bill, introduced by MK Limor Son Har-Melech of the “Otzma Yehudit” (Jewish Power) party, calls for the termination of all legal and political obligations arising from agreements signed with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), as well as the repeal of Israeli legislation tied to their implementation.
Sponsors of the bill justified the move by claiming the accords failed to achieve peace and instead led to “escalating security tensions.”
The proposal is expected to ignite a fierce political debate both within “Israel” and internationally, given that these agreements have served as the primary framework governing bilateral relations since the 1990s.
