Zionist forces destroy historical sites in Al-Qunaitrah

DAMASCUS, April 30 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces conducted demolition operations targeting old and historic buildings in the devastated city of Quneitrah, in an escalation affecting what remains of the area’s historic landmarks, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

According to the SOHR, the destruction operations included sites of historical significance, among them Al-Daghestani Mosque and Al-Hasan ibn Al-Haytham school.

The escalation comes amid growing concerns over the systematic targeting of the city’s cultural and historical identity, as attacks on architectural and heritage sites in the border area continue.
