BEIRUT, April 29 (YPA) – Several areas in southern Lebanon witnessed a new round of escalation on Wednesday, as Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of attacks targeting several border villages and towns, alongside ongoing demolition and land-clearing operations near the frontline.
According to Lebanese media reports, shelling hit multiple locations while Israeli military aircraft maintained intensive overflights in the region.
The Israeli strikes caused widespread damage to property and infrastructure, amid rising tensions along the southern border.
In a related development, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced that the death toll from the attack on the town of Majdal Zoun has risen to nine, including three paramedics, with 17 others injured—among them three women.
The figures underscore the severity and expanding scope of the attacks.
The latest developments come amid ongoing Israeli military activity along the border, with concerns growing over deteriorating humanitarian and security conditions, particularly as civilian teams and emergency services increasingly come under fire.
