GAZA, April 26 (YPA) – Four Palestinians were killed on Sunday, including one who succumbed to injuries sustained from Israeli occupation fire in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources.
The victims were shot by Israeli forces southeast of Gaza City, the sources said.
Israeli artillery also shelled several areas in eastern Gaza as violations of the ceasefire agreement, in place since October, continued.
Further shelling was reported in eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza, along with heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles operating in the area.
In central Gaza, an Israeli helicopter reportedly opened heavy fire east of the Bureij refugee camp, while eastern parts of Gaza City also came under intense artillery bombardment.
Over the past two days, more than 12 Palestinians have reportedly been killed and dozens wounded in renewed attacks.
Israeli occupation forces continue to breach the ceasefire since it came into effect last October., according to the sources.
