“Hadramout Tribal Alliance” accused of abandoning demands for limited recruitment quotas

HADRAMOUT, April 14 (YPA) – A local source revealed on Monday that the “Hadramout Tribal Alliance” has retreated from the list of service and rights demands it had championed since mid-2024, in exchange for incorporating only 1,500 of its members into the “Public Security” forces.

The source confirmed that the Alliance’s primary demands—which included recruiting 30,000 citizens and providing 500 MW of electricity—have vanished following recent field developments.

This comes amid sharp criticism over the Alliance’s failure to secure provincial rights, as basic services continue to collapse, Riyan Airport remains closed, and local wealth is drained without tangible returns for the people of Hadramout province.
