Sanaa: Government directives to protect local electrical industries from dumping

SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – The Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to taking decisive measures to protect local electrical products from dumping policies and providing necessary support to specialized industries to bolster the national economy.

During a visit to the “New Sam” electrical appliances factory on Monday, Al-Bashiri praised the quality of local production and directed the Yemen Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control Organization to ban the entry of imported products that do not meet standards.

He also called on importers to actively market national products, emphasizing that supporting these industries is a fundamental pillar for achieving self-sufficiency and developing the country’s electronics sector.
