OCCUPIED A-QUDS, April. 12 (YPA) – The young Palestinian man, Ali Majed Hamadneh, 23, was martyred after being shot by settlers during their raid on the town of Deir Jarir, northeast of Ramallah, amid a continuous escalation of settler attacks in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Hamadneh arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah in extremely critical condition after being shot in the back and chest, before his martyrdom was announced. Palestinian media reported that a group of armed settlers stormed the town, spread out in its streets, and fired live ammunition at citizens, which led to the injury of the young man who later died.
The head of Deir Jarir village council, Fathi Hamdan, said that settlers attacked the western entrance to the town and fired directly at the residents.
He added that the occupation forces stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers during the attack without any arrests being recorded.
In a simultaneous incident, Israeli occupation forces confiscated two bulldozers in the town of Deir Ghassaneh, northwest of Ramallah, while they were working on paving an agricultural road in the “Majdoub” area.
The forces prevented the project’s completion, seized the machinery, and transported it to an unknown location.
It should be noted that the projects, particularly in Area C, face frequent restrictions and confiscations by the occupation authorities under the pretext of lack of permits, despite many of these projects being implemented with local and international funding.
