UAE issues warning to commanders of “Al-Amaliqa Brigades”

ABU DHABI, April 09 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates has issued an unprecedented warning to commanders of the “Al-Amaliqa Brigades” and other factions loyal to the dissolved Southern Transitional Council (STC), concerning armored vehicles and military equipment reportedly supplied by Saudi Arabia.

The head of the Center for Political Studies in Abu Dhabi, Khaled Al-Shamiri, posted a statement on the platform X in recent hours under the headline “Important and Dangerous.”

In his post, he warned that “the withdrawal of Emirati armored vehicles and their replacement with Saudi ones is not merely a routine upgrade of equipment, but a full-fledged security breach.”

Al-Shamari further warned faction leaders, stating: “These vehicles are not for your protection. Rather, they function as mobile surveillance towers equipped with cameras and advanced intelligence listening devices, capable of monitoring your movements in detail and transmitting them to operations rooms.”

He went on to describe the Saudi-supplied armored vehicles as “a new Trojan horse that does not serve the interests of the South.”

The warning comes at a time when Saudi forces stationed in Aden are reportedly working to restructure the Al-Amaliqa Brigades and other STC-aligned factions.

This effort is said to be taking place under the banner of “redeployment,” following requests attributed to Defense Minister Taher Al-Aqili, who is affiliated with the Islah party.
